About Us
WHO WE ARE
We are a registered 501c (3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping children of all ages with developmental disabilities learn to skate and play amateur-level ice hockey.
OUR TEAM
Our team consists of dedicated volunteers with special skills in ice hockey, and in making sports available to everyone. Our on-ice coaches are high school hockey players, dedicated to bringing their sport to children who may not otherwise be included.

The San Diego Chill strives to create a community in which children with developmental disabilities feel safe, welcome, and able to discover new skills and talents.
Help Our Cause
- Our program runs entirely on donations
- We are a completely free-to-join (and play) organization
- Most gear is provided free of charge
- We do not charge for ice time or coaching
- We humbly request both monetary and new (or like-new) ice hockey gear donations (with the exception of helmets, which we purchase new for each individual player).
Ice time is our biggest funding hurdle. The UTC Ice Rink generously provides us with discounted ice time, but this still requires a significant amount of funding each season. Although we have partnerships with some hockey gear companies, we always appreciate any and all help to ensure each one of our players is outfitted for their size and needs.
